The Village Manager is appointed by the Council to be the chief administrative officer of the Village. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village, including personnel management, budgeting, and oversight of the various departments. The Manager makes recommendations to Council for improvements to the Village, and attends all council meetings with a right to participate but not vote.

The Treasurer/Finance Director is responsible for the financial administration of the Village. She collects taxes, keeps records of all revenue and expenditures, and invests extra funds. The Treasurer/Finance Director also assists the Village Manager in the preparation an monitoring of the annual budget.

Community Development Manager

The Community Development Manager oversees the zoning, planning and building activities in the Village. She issues zoning compliance permits and enforces ordinances. The Community Development Manager assists the Planning Commission, Parks Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals to carry out their duties.

The Department of Public Services consists of two divisions: public works and utilities. The public works division is responsible for maintaining our roads, sidewalks and drains, including construction activities and snow removal. They maintain and landscape the parks and downtown area. They are also responsible for leaf pickup. The utilities division consists of two activities - sewer and water. This division ensures that the Village has safe and clean drinking water, and that the sewage is collected and treated in an environmentally safe manner. They also oversee the maintenance and construction of the delivery and collection systems.
